ART ACTIVITY IN THE BEACH - SAND SCULPTURES (Part 2) 沙之藝術 話你知 (下集)

係南區玩左咁多個地方，今次又係時候講返上次未講完既沙藝篇啦，係咪期待左好耐呢？唔知大家對堆沙呢種藝術有咩睇法呢？難？易？
In the past, i thought it is
impossible to build a large sand castle with a height of over 1 meter. Before
few months, I joined a school activity and went to Stanley Main Beach to learn relevant skills of sand sculptures. Before
that day, I never thought my target is to make a sand castle with team mates
and it will be successful. In fact, sand sculptures are not difficult if you
know how to build it with suitable usage of tools, skills and creativity.
對於南區美少女之一既版主黎講，曾經我都覺得要堆一個人咁高既沙堡係冇可能既事，而早幾個月，我就跟左學校去左赤柱堆沙，未去前，當然完全冇諗過我地既目標係起一座城堡，更加冇諗過會成功，但活動後就知道堆沙並唔難架，只要我地識得好好利用工具幫我地，再加上少少技巧同創意，要整一個大型沙堡話咁易啦。
Sand sculpture
is an entertainment activity for all ages. The tools are very simple and
free-of-charge. In addition to buckets, shovels and your hands, the branches,
shells and other natural resources or drink cups, thick straws, potato chips
bags also can become one of the tools.
堆沙係老少咸宜既娛樂活動，工具亦相當簡單，亦唔需要特登搵錢買，除左水桶、鐵鏟同雙手之外，動動腦筋，隨手執起既樹枝、貝殼等天然資源，又或者台式飲料杯、粗飲管、薯片袋，都可以成為工具之一。
Beginners can start with simple geometric
graphics, for example turtles, fish, castles, etc., and then proceed to try
more complex creations. In order to ensure the sculpture is firm enough, you must
add some pressures to the sand and water on the surface of the sculpture. With the
size of 2 X 3 meters, for example, it takes about 3 to 4 buckets of water.
初學者可以先從簡單的幾何圖形開始，例如海龜、小魚、城堡等，再着手嘗試較複雜的創作。為了令作品更穩固，堆沙時必需要把沙壓實，並在沙的表面噴水定型。初時會比較難掌握水和沙的比例，以2 X 3米的作品為例，大約需要3至4桶水。
Basic tools: buckets, shovels, carving
tools, batch knife, brush, watering can, thick straws, potato chips bags
基本工具: 水桶、鐵鏟、雕刻工具、批刀、掃、噴壺、粗飲管、薯片包裝袋
Step 1：After drawing the shape, a small sand hill can be built with adding a lot of water.
步驟1：畫出外形後，把沙堆成小山丘，再大量注水。
Step 2：The hills are then compacted to make the foundation becomes more consolidated.
步驟2：將堆起的山丘壓實，令沙雕根基更鞏固。
Step 3：Using the batch knife to draw the graphics features you liked, and then add water on the surface of the sculptures.
步驟3：用批刀畫出圖形的五官後，於沙表面噴水定型。
Step 4：In order to make the sculptures’ surface become more smoothly, you can use a reversed potato chips bags to polish it.
步驟4：如要把沙藝作品的表面弄得更平滑，可剪下一塊薯片包裝袋，用銀色一面『打磨』作品，把沙面掃平打亮，效果一流！
Step 5：Use the pointed
knife or your hands to draw the graphics you liked. If needed, you also can use
thick straws to sweep and remove the excess sand.
步驟5：用尖頭批刀或雙手塑出圖案，需要時可用掃或者粗飲管清除多餘沙粒。
To build a sand castle, you also can use
beverage cups as the molds because the materials are softer than other plastic
materials. Hence, the sand in the cups can be easily poured out.
如果想試下整沙堡，我們可以試下用台式飲料杯做模具，因為飲料杯的質料較一般塑膠軟，可更易把已定型的沙倒出來。

activity is satisfying the environmental concept of low-carbon. If the pattern
is not what you wanted, don’t be afraid, you can start from the beginning by
pushing back the sand to the beach. Moreover, sand sculptures can inspire your artistic
talent, and also train your hands and feet coordination, too.
堆沙呢種娛樂活動絕對合乎低碳環保既概念，當大家砌唔到心目中的圖案都冇有怕！推回原狀就可以再由頭開始，完全唔會破壞大自然生態，又可以啟發到我地既藝術天分，訓練手腳協調能力，一舉多得。點止玩泥沙咁簡單！赤柱正灘等緊你！
